A remake of Lunar: The Silver Star was released for the Sega Saturn in Japan quite a while ago, under the name Lunar: The Silver Star Story. However, due to disputes and disagreements between Working Designs and Sega, this remake will be released on the Sony Playstation after being translated into English. In the beginning this was to the dismay of many loyal Sega supporters, who had purchased a Sega Saturn and looked forward to Working Designs to continue its relationship with Sega. However, now the Saturn is basically defunct and unsupported, and until Sega releases its next-generation system, the Sony Playstation is the system of choice when it comes to role-playing games.
The Playstation game will be called Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, and should come with a lot of goodies including an extra soundtrack audio CD, full color cloth map, and hardbound art book. The game itself is two discs, and will be rated T (Teen) by the ESRB.

I got the Lunar Silver Star Story Complete demo yesterday (5/18) and finished it today. Any rumors going around that the demo is six-hours are greatly exagerated. I finished it in two hours and a few minutes. I noticed a few things in this demo:
- Nall's voice is the same (I think, if not it's very similar)
- Alex speaks (it was strange in the Sega-CD version that Alex only had one word of spoken dialogue, "Luna!")
- Quark's voice is taken directly from the original version.
- Instead of random battles, you can see the enemies on the screen (similar to Chrono Trigger)
- The RUN feature works differently. Instead of just ending a battle, the enemies chase you around and you have to outrun them.
- Quark's cave has a puzzle of sorts in it to solve, before you can get the dragon ring.
- No enemies/battles on the world map (so far, this might change once you sail to the mainland)
- The wierd woods has a fog that Luna lifts with her voice
- In battle, if Luna uses a magic song, she sings
- Nall randomly revives a fainted party member during battle; and after the battle, Nall revives any fainted members so they can get experiance points
- Lakie/Dyne is a traveller who helps the party and not a lumberjack
- You dont have to got to the lighthouse to leave for Meribia
- You must fight a boss (a "jelly"-type creature) before you can go on the ship
- Luna goes to Meribia with Nash, Alex, Ramus and Nall
Also the demo doesn't seem to be finished as Nall and Nash have lines of Japanese Dialoge in-battle in the Japanese voices. After Alex grabs Luna onto the ship leaving for Meribia the demo ends. It goes into a preview of the final product. At the end of the preview it says "Coming Spring 1999....No, Really!"
